Avondale Guest House is a lovingly restored and homely Victorian House which has its own charm with an atmosphere of restful comfort and with modern facilities.

We offer a wide variety of  freshly prepared breakfast menu which can be made to order from any of the choices, we also have an excellent selection of beverages all served in our comfortable dining room.   Should you have any particular dietary requirements just let us know!    Why not try the ‘Whisky porridge’ to start your day!

A warm welcoming home where we take pride in our friendliness and informality so if you would like anything special in your room on arrival or during your stay this can be arranged.   We also offer a wireless internet connection for your laptop.

For the comfort of all our guests and in compliance with the law there is a strict no smoking policy in all of the rooms and internal areas of the house.

Avondale Guest House is a charming mid terraced Victorian home dating back to the late 19th Century, which has been lovingly restored to maintain its individual character and warmth.

Owned and managed by Carole Kaleda, guests are made to feel very welcome. The rooms are individually decorated, warm, cosy and very comfortable, guests can enjoy some of the original features that remain a central theme to the interior of the house.

All the rooms have en-suite bathroom facilities, alarm clocks, remote TV and CD stereos, so don't forget to pack your favourites CDs! You will find all you need from a range of beverages on your hospitality tray, I will provide wine glasses and even cool your wine for you! A homely, comfortable and private retreat from a busy day out in York.
