THE LOCHBOISDALE HOTEL
A warm welcome to Lochboisdale Hotel on the beautiful island of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. Calum and Karen MacAulay and their family run the hotel, situated at the ferry terminal in Lochboisdale overlooking the bay with splendid views across to Canna and Rhum.
We have 15 rooms, 5 single, 5 twin and 5 double including one family room that will comfortably sleep a family of 5. All of the rooms have en-suite facilities and all but three rooms have views across the bay. Lochboisdale Hotel has a warm and friendly welcome with staff who are there to make your stay a memorable one. Feel at home by the peat fire, soak up the gaelic atmosphere and enjoy amazing views on three sides of the hotel. The hotel is a great base to explore the raw beauty of the island, a great place to relax and recharge your batteries.
Calum and Karen and their staff will endeavour to make your holiday a memorable one. If you are enjoying a special occasion or would like any special request please let us know. We will be happy to oblige.
The hotel boasts large individual rooms. 10 double/twin including a large family room that will comfortably sleep five people and 5 single rooms. All the rooms have en-suites.
Enjoy the warmth of the Lounge sitting by a real fire and soaking up the Gaelic atmosphere. Music sessions are spontaneous most nights but there is a regular session most Saturdays when local people come together to play and catch up with their favourite tunes.
We have a residents dining room overlooking the bay and a sun lounge overlooking the harbour. We have a bar supper menu and an A La Carte menu offering the best of local produce, seafood and game. Lobster is available on request and you can even pick your own off the boats in the bay.
We offer an impressive classic wine list of over 45 different wines, old and new world. Prices range from £11.50 to £40 per bottle.
