Welcome to Quoy Cottages in Orkney: two historic listed stone built cottages that are being sensitively renovated to offer you luxury holiday accommodation from January 2011.

The Old Granary Quoy and The Puffin Quoy are the perfect choice for anyone looking for a relaxing break or holiday and the chance to totally unwind in a tranquil, idyllic part of the world and enjoy spectacular sea views.

Kevin and Caroline Critchlow are renovating a listed stone-built barn to create the two holiday cottages, retaining many of the barn's beautiful original features such as stone flag floors and wooden beams while equipping both cottages to the highest standard.

The couple have already lovingly renovated the main house and luxury bed and breakfast is available here for any additional guests.

For anyone looking for accommodation in Orkney, Orkney Islands or Scotland you will find none better than Quoy Cottages. The cottages are set amidst fields of wild flowers with breathtaking views out over Scapa Flow and the beach is only a short stroll away. Flocks of Curlews and Oyster Catchers regularly rest in the nearby fields.

Accommodation at The Old Granary Quoy will sleep six people in luxurious comfort. This spacious cottage is being equipped to the very highest standard.

The smaller of our two cottages, The Puffin Quoy, is designed for couples looking for luxury, comfort and privacy combined with every modern convenience.

Our cottages are conveniently located just a 10 minute drive from the North Link Stromness to Scrabster ferries. They are also centrally located for all Orkney's must see historical sites, including Maes Howe chambered tomb and the Ring of Brodgar.
