BUAN HOUSE

Buan House is situated in the parish of Firth and enjoys panoramic views over the Bay of Firth towards Finstown and Kirkwall. Buan House is situated 8 miles from both Kirkwall and Stromness and this central location ensures easy access to all the main sites of interest whether you are interested in archaeology or birdwatching.

Although this extremely spacious four bedroom house (over 200m2) is finished to a luxurious standard it is built in a traditional style but with modern technology - The heating and hot water are provided by a ground source heat pump. There are also solar panels to assist with heating the water.

We are a working farm raising prime Orkney beef cattle. You will see them in the fields all around the house and as they are friendly creatures they will probably come to have a look at you as well.

Newly built to the highest standards, Buan House offers spacious accommodation for up to eight people.

A ground source heat pump provides heating and hot water, using clever technology to draw renewable energy from the land around the house. Solar panels also assist in heating the water – and in minimising our carbon footprint.

With families in mind, a high chair and travel cot are provided at Buan House.

As Buan House is situated in farmland, pets are unfortunately not allowed.
