BOWMORE HOTEL

Bowmore Hotel is situated in the island's 'capital', Bowmore, in Jamieson Street and close to all the village amenities. It is a family run hotel with nine en-suite bedrooms, two without en-suite facilities and is open all year round. The Hotel cooking makes excellent use of Islay's local produce including beef, lamb and seafood all of which is served in the beautifully appointed dining room. The hotel bar stocks a selection of Islay's famous malt whiskies. The bar also has the full Sky TV Sports package showing all Scottish and English Premier League football matches.

The hotel has Wi-Fi access available for a small fee, along with full oil-fired central heating and double glazing. We also have a decking area at the rear of the hotel for the benefit of smokers and al fresco diners alike with views overlooking Loch Indaal.
BBQs are held on a Sunday throughout the spring, summer and autumn, and also at Guy Fawkes and New Year's day weather permitting.

Bowmore village is home to the world famous Bowmore Distillery, the equally famous Round Church and the Mactaggart Leisure Centre. Bowmore is also the main shopping centre on the island and encompasses a recently re-furbished harbour development with boat moorings.

We are 5 minutes walk from Bowmore Distillery and we have a fantastic selection of malts in our lounge and public bars.

In good weather we have alfresco dining out the back of the hotel on the decking which has panoramic views over loch indaal to gruinart and bruichladdich and bridgend.

Steaks, 10oz Sirloins with a choice of Boozy Sauce (red wine with fresh Herbs)
East Meets West (mushroom and onion sauce with an oriental twist)
Cheesy (a creamy blue cheese sauce) and Pepper sauce made with fresh green peppercorns and Cointreau.
Italian Chicken (chicken breast with a Tomato, Basil and Garlic sauce),
Chicken with the same sauce as the East Meets West
Curries: we do a wide variety of curries as mild or as hot as you would like.
